A native of Bosnia, Dr. Maglic immigrated to the United States at the age of 11. He attended East Carolina University in North Carolina, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in chemistry and biochemistry. He continued his medical studies at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. During his first year of medical school, he conducted research at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN where he studied pediatric sarcoma. He was also one of the few medical students selected to spend an academic year at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD and was part of the Medical Research Scholars Program where he studied rare diseases through the Undiagnosed Diseases Program.
After medical school, he moved to Utah to pursue surgical training at the University of Utah where he completed his six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery residency.
When not in the operating room or drawing awarding winning art, you can find Dr. Dino Maglic on the water fly fishing, carving his way down the mountainside skiing and spending time with his family and friends. I wish I could add more stars for this review as 5 do not do Dr. Maglic justice. From the initial meeting, I was completely put at ease with his professionalism and his competency. He listened to all my expectations and concerns and provided me with the utmost confidence that he could and would deliver. The surgery, postop, office staff, and, most importantly, results have exceeded every expectation and I cannot recommend Dr. Maglic enough to anyone who wants the very best plastic surgeon in Utah. There’s nobody else I would recommend more and you will only be disappointed if you go somewhere else.

This review is super hard for me to write. I don’t think I’ll ever find the words of the gratitude I feel for what Dr. Maglic was able to do for me. I needed to have an extremely tough reconstruction done. I had a couple of surgeries that didn’t go very well and ended up with a disaster. I actually had another doctor picked out to do my surgery but kept putting it off because I had a feeling that it wouldn’t work out. I happened to come across Dr. Maglic. I researched everything about him and his art hooked me. I thought if he can create art like that maybe he is the one that could help me. I really wasn’t sure if he would even take me as a patient because I knew the surgery would be highly complicated and the results may not work out so why take that risk? When I met Dr. Maglic I could tell he was caring and focused and if he was willing to do the surgery he would be the one. He was sincere and honest about what he could do for me and my expectation was just to look semi-normal but Dr. Maglic far exceeded my expectations. If one were to see before and after pics the transformation is absolutely shocking.
I recently had the experience of being treated by a fabulous plastic surgeon who combines professionalism with genuine warmth. At first glance, he may seem intimidating with his sharp attire and amazing hair, but his artistic approach to his work is evident in the meticulous detail he puts into every procedure. He views each body as an art piece, without judgment. He was able to lift my breasts back to the correct placement and fixed the botched scarring from a reduction I had years ago, which I didn’t think could ever be possible.One of the things that I was impressed by was how he spoke to his nurses and staff, genuinely thanking them for their assistance. This level of appreciation is refreshing, especially in a field where many skilled professionals often overlook the importance of valuing their team. His respect for those around him emphasizes the significance of a supportive work environment.I highly recommend this remarkable surgeon to anyone seeking not just skill, but also a dedicated partner in their journey. His blend of talent, experience, and kindness is truly a rare find. He introduces himself as Dr. Dino Maglić, but I think of him as Magical! I will call him Dr. Magic😊
